Firefly Frenzy with the Nature Conservancy

Come learn about fireflies, why they light up the summer sky, what they're saying when they do, and why they might be in trouble. Then enjoy the show in the meadow above Goosewing Beach Preserve.

This is the first of three programs in our family series, designed to delight and inform nature lovers young and old. Later in the summer, we'll be hosting a Butterfly Bash and a Full Moon Meander.

We'll meet at the Benjamin Family Education Center. To get there, walk to the end of South Shore beach until you reach the Goosewing Beach sign. The center is a small building up the grassy hill to your left.

This event is free, but South Shore beach may charge a parking fee. This event is great for all ages, but children under 12 need adult accompaniment.

Please let us know if you're planning to come! Register by calling 401-331-7110 x 36 or emailing ssummers@tnc.org.
