Bookfair to Benefit Tiverton Middle School Library

Tiverton Middle School Announces its One School/One Author Summer
Reading Program for the entire Tiverton Middle School Community!

In lieu of a Required Summer
Reading List students will be assigned a book by award winning author Janet
Taylor Lisle.

Two of Ms.
Lisle’s many novels for children have been chosen to be the required summer
reading books for Tiverton Middle School students. Assigned to students entering grades 5 and 6, the captivating Newbery Honor book Afternoon of the
Elves
explores the magic and mystery of friendship between even the most
unlikely of friends. Students entering grades 7 and 8 will be reading The
Crying Rocks,
a beautifully crafted story of 13 year old Joelle who,
with the help of her friend Carlos, searches her Narragansett Indian origins.
