Roots rocker Becky Chace will knock you over with her voice. Her band, including longtime sidekick and ace guitarist Brian Minisce, will help you get back up and stand at attention. Don't miss Becky and her full band when they return to Sandywoods on March 1st.

Their vast catalog of original music is authentic, eclectic, and honest. Becky covers artists as diverse as Irving Berlin, Johnny Cash, and Men at Work. As long as the song is great, it doesn't matter if they wrote it or someone else did 100 years ago. They'll perform anything that moves them with groove, sensitivity, and passion.

Becky believes in the power of music. Whether she's playing her original songs with Brian as an acoustic duo, fronting her full band, or sharing the stage with acts like Forever Young, she is present in the moment, enjoying the connection of community that only music can create.

Becky has been performing at least 200 shows per year since she began promoting her first release in 1998 with Brian and her band. She's tough to pin down in terms of style - she's that kind of musician who can't help but go in different directions. A throwback to the artists of the '60s and '70s who had intimate acoustic country ballads on the same records with blues, rock and pop, The Worcester Telegram has called Becky a "steamy cauldron of music, purveying the sort of countrified roots/folk rock that hits with a gritty, earthy edge." What people talk about most when it comes to Becky's music is her powerful voice. She has been compared to Melissa Etheridge, Lucinda Williams, and Bonnie Raitt.

Becky and Brian have opened for such national acts as B.B. King, Joan Jett, America, Judy Collins, The Gin Blossoms, Better Than Ezra, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Little Feat, Delbert McClinton, and Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, to name just a few.

Becky has received great praise and critical acclaim for her many recordings, including her 2013 CD "Rise and Fall." Chosen "Best Female Vocalist" five times by the readers of the Providence Phoenix Best Music Poll, Becky has been called "one of the most celebrated singer/songwriters to come out of the Rhode Island area." (Motif Magazine)

Currently performing as a duo with Brian, a trio when Brian’s brother Mark Minisce joins in on bass, and with her full band when drummer Eric Hastings comes on board, Becky can be found most weekends in New England playing concerts in every kind of venue imaginable, from clubs to outdoor festivals to house concerts and parties, with her eclectic mix of originals and covers.
