Volunteer and Have Fun at the Same Time

Enjoy each of these fun events this week while also helping to raise money for worthy causes.

Enjoy music, food and activities at several of these fun events.


Where/When: 1792 Main Rd, Tiverton, , 2335 Main Road, Sept. 15 to 18 (times and location vary, see schedule).
Why Go: Ninth annual concert (with over 35 performances) to help feed the needy in our area. The funds raised during this event go directly to (Tiverton Food Pantry) and the .
Price: Donation of non-perishable food item.


Where/When: Pardon Gray Preserve, Lafayette Road & Main Road, Tiverton, Sept. 17, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Why Go: Food, music and a variety of activities for adult and kids. The proceeds support .
Price: Admission is free/ $5 bracelet for kids activities

Where/When: Quicksand Pond/Goosewing Beach Preserve, 140 South Shore Road, Little Compton, Sept. 17 at 9 a.m.
Why Go: All are welcome to help the Sogkonate Garden Club celebrate International Coastal Cleanup Day. The Sogkonate Garden Club will supply gloves, bags and refreshments. Bring the kids for some time to enjoy the beach while helping to also teach them preserve its beauty.
Price: Free


Where/When: Coggeshall Farm Museum, Poppasquash Road Bristol, Rhode Island. It is from Sept. 17 to 18, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Why Go: Featuring live music and entertainment, traditional craft demonstrations, unique local vendors, and games and competitions for all ages.
Price: $8 for adults; $5 for seniors and children ages 6 to 12. Children under 5 are free. Museum Members are $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and children, ages 6 to 12. Children 5 and under are free.

ELEPHANT TRACKS
Where/When: New Bedford Museum 425 Hawthorne St., New Bedford, MA, on Sept. 18 (see times below)
Why Go: Help the museum raise money and awareness for elephant conservation by being involved in their 1-mile walk around the zoo (11:30am). Also celebrate all elephants with a day of demonstrations, activities and crafts, which is from 1 to 4 p.m.
Price: Check HERE for costs related to the walk. If you are doing the walk the admission is included in registration fee. Regular admission: Adults: $6; Seniors & Teens: $4.50; Child 3-12: $3 Children under 3: Free; Parking: Free
