Tiverton Business Forum Tonight

The after-hours event is to "engage local business owners about the current state and future of Rhode Island business."

Members of the Tiverton business community are expected to attend a free forum tonight at Tiverton Four Corners Meeting House.

On hand will be the director of the formerly-named Rhode Island Economic Development Commissions (now Commerce RI), Marcel Valois; Jody Sullivan, executive director of the Newport County Chamber of Commerce; and Scott Humphrey, chairman of the Tiverton Economic Development Commission.

According to the invite, the after-hours event is to "engage local business owners about the current state and future of Rhode Island business."

Local business owners will be able to ask questions and discuss important issues for the Tiverton business community with state, regional and local business leaders.

RSVPs for the event were supposed to be in by Jan. 28. You can email bpelletier@tiverton.ri.gov or call 401-625-6718 for more information.

Are you planning on attending? What do you hope comes out of the forum?
