Hazardous Weather Advisory Issued For Newport County

The National Weather Service issued a hazardous advisory for Newport County and much of Rhode Island.

Showers and a chance of thunderstorms will continue through the night into Wednesday, causing possible flooding across the state.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather advisory for much of Rhode Island as what is left of Hurricane Isaac passes through the region. Tuesday's stoms could cause minor flooding in areas with small streams and poor drainage.

The remnants of Hurricane Isaac will reportedly bring locally heavy rainfall and potential flooding as one to two inches of rainfall is expected.
