Official 'Moonrise Kingdom' Trailer Released

The release of the official movie trailer for "Moonrise Kingdom" last Thursday brings much anticipation to the Wes Anderson-directed film, on Friday, May 25. It was filmed throughout Newport County, including , in 2011.

The film features an all-star cast, including Ed Norton, Bill Murray, Frances McDormand, Bruce Willis, Tilda Swinton, Harvey Keitel and Bob Balaban. Many of these stars, as you'll recall, were  this past summer. Murray even. The film based some operations out of the former John F. Kennedy Middle School in Middletown.

"Moonrise Kingdom" follows the tale of a young boy and girl (performed by Jared Gilman and Kara Hayward) who fall in love and run away together while a variety of townspeople mobilize to search for them on a unique island off the coast of New England in the 1960’s.
