Facebook Cover Photo Contest: Share Your Winter Photos

Have a great photo, painting or drawing that you think will be a perfect cover photo for our Facebook page? Upload it now!

Earlier this year when Facebook changed to the new Timeline layout, Tiverton-Little Compton Patch held a contest and let readers to submit photos that captured the spirit of Newport to be used as the cover photo.

Patch has continued to highlight Tiverton-Little Compton's artistic talent as the seasons change on our Facebook page.

From now until Sunday, Jan. 6 we'll be accepting winter-themed submissions for a cover photo for us to use on Newport Patch's Facebook page.

Whether it's a photo of a historic building, the harbor or people just going about their day, we want to see your take on Newport. Be creative and try to capture the essence of the city to represent Newport on Facebook.

There's no age requirement to submit: You just have to be a Tiverton-Little Compton Patch user and be able to create a 100 percent original piece of work owned by you for us to use. You agree to grant Patch the royalty free, irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive right and license to use the work on Tiverton-Little Compton Patch’s Facebook page. You must have permission to show all individuals seen in the work. If minor children are included in the work, you must be their parent or guardian, or obtain written consent from their parent or guardian prior to submitting the work. All entries must be at least 399 pixels wide and cannot contain any advertising (such as a prominent Coca Cola logo).

We'll close acceptance for entries on Sunday, Jan. 6 at 9 a.m. Then, it's up to you again. Your local editor will choose the front-runners and create a poll for the readers to make the final decision.

Click the "upload" button above to submit your entry!
