Support Grows for Scout, the Autonomous Transatlantic Robot

Scout, the autonomous transatlantic robot, might have not made it to Spain this time around, but his fans are not giving up.

Scout set sail for Spain from Fogland Beach on July 5. The vessel was performing well, voyaging more than 40 miles from the Rhode Island shore.

However, a problem with the rudder now has Scout heading back to Rhode Island and his team returning to the drawing board.

Despite the setback, fans are showing their support for Tiverton's Scout.

Here's just a few  of the many comments of support posted on the Scout-The Autonomous Translatlantic Robot Facebook page Wednesday.

Al Bunch: Learn from your mistakes and keep moving forward, it's the only way.

Larry Fine: It can't be that bad, surely! The next trip will be a success.

Melody Williams Brinkley: Keep trying!!! :0)

Louis van Niekerk: Don't give up !!! Come on guys fix it and get her back in the water !!

Jillane Duncan: Keep going!
