STORM CENTER: Tiverton-Little Compton Snowstorm Closings, Updates

Here's the latest forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday. 

Snow Projections Bumped Up Again

The next winter storm is expected to start on Tuesday afternoon and last through Wednesday morning.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch for Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday morning. The so-called “jackpot” area is expected to span from the Tiverton-Little Compton area through Cape Cod, but heavy snow with accumulations of 4-8 inches are possible throughout much of the state, especially along the south coast and islands. Some weather maps predict as much as 10 inches in some areas.

School Closed


Tiverton schools will be closed Wednesday. It's a snow day! 
Little Compton schools closed Wednesday. 

Portsmouth schools are closed Wednesday. 
Aquidneck Island Christian Academy is closed Wednesday. 
All Saints Academy is closed Wednesday.

No closings at this time. 

Parking Bans

Tiverton police issue parking ban, starting at noon Tuesday. 

The town of Middletown has issued a parking ban for tomorrow afternoon. No other bans at this time.
