Nurse, Nun, Soldier Among RI's Women of Achievement

The YWCA Rhode Island announced its list of honorees for 2013.

A diverse group of women spanning several occupations and vocations will be honored Thursday as Rhode Island's Women of Achievement for 2013.

The YWCA honors a group of women each year who achieve particular accomplishments in public service. The organization, which has honored a different group of women each year since 2005, will present the awards during a luncheon at Kirkbrae Country Club in Lincoln Thursday.

This year's recipients include:

Cheryl A. Burrell
Anna Cano-Morales
Letitia Carter
Jacqueline L. Dowdy
Sally Ann Hay

Organization of the Year: Quota International in Woonsocket and Pawtucket/Central Falls
