The Republican Healthcare Plan

Way back in 1974, President Richard Nixon presented a plan that called for a national healthcare plan.  It would have made all but the smallest employers offer HC to it's workers, while the poor and elderly would be picked up by Medicare/Medicaid.  This plan was introduced to combat the plan offered by Ted Kennedy.

Now jump to 1988/89.  A conservative think tank, called the Heritage Foundation, proposed an idea called "The Individual Mandate".  This would have forced everyone to obtain health care coverage or face a tax penalty.

Now let's look at 1993.  The GOP, using the Heritage Foundations blueprint, put forth a plan to counter HillaryCare.  This plan was later used to success by the Republican Gov. of MA, Mitt Romney.  (RomneyCare).

Now it is 2013.  We have the ACA, (ObamaCare).  A Republican plan, first conceived 40 years ago by a Republican.  Modified over the same 40 year span by a host of Republicans.

I guess the question is:  Why are the Republicans and Tea Party so angry that we finally passed a Republican Health Care Plan?
