Celebrate Tiverton's Groovin' at Grinnell's to feature Christopher "James" Farias

Join friends and family as they Celebrate Tiverton this Friday evening, July 25, at Grinnell's Beach. Groovin' at Grinnell's will feature local singer/songwriter and recording artist Christopher "James" Farias. Christopher will start motivating the crowd to get into the Celebrate Tiverton groove at 6:00 p.m.

Christopher “James” Farias is a seasoned musician whose personal evolution spans the complete gamut of practical performance experience and formal music education. Aside from 17 years of consistent study in guitar performance and pedagogy, Chris is also an accomplished Vocalist, Mandolinist, Songwriter and Music Educator with a full length debut album and scores of recording and performing engagements to his credit.

Friday night's music will be followed by a flotilla sponsored by the Tiverton Yacht Club. The flotilla sets sail at 7:30 p.m. Enjoy breathtaking sunset views as you gather on the beach to watch the lighted boats float along the shores of the Sakonnet.

Celebrate Tiverton's Friday events close with a roaring beach bonfire. Lighting is at 8:00 p.m. Good weather is expected but bring a blanket (and a chair) just in case!

On Saturday, Celebrate Tiverton festivities include a parade, storytelling, dinner, a dance and stargazing at Sandywoods. Celebrate Tiverton closes on Sunday with a 5K road race at Tiverton High School.

Finally, don't forget to visit Tiverton Four Corners on Thursday, July 24, to kick off Celebrate Tiverton at 5:00 p.m. at the Meeting House on Main Road. Tiverton Four Corners merchants will remain open until 8:00 p.m.
