Tiverton Library Services Presents...

                                   "Own the Night"

                      Summer Reading Program for Teens

                                           2012

The Essex Public Library is proud to offer creative and enjoyable programs for teens, ages 11-18, this summer with an emphasis on programs that challenge teens to own their voices and open their minds to new possibilities in their lives. We have invited some of our past performers from 2011, as well as new artists and community teachers to participate in this summer's programming, including comic book artist, Kate Schapira and her husband, James McShane, local Yoga instructor, Caryl Sickul, and well-known improv performer, Melissa Bowler.

We also invite teens to participate in our book cover contest and a consortium-wide pen pal program that has been recently introduced by the Cumberland Public Library. Please see the flyers below for more information and visit our website at http://tivertonlibrary.org/teens/

As always, we are encouraged teens to keep reading and attending programming throughout the summer to win prizes and library bucks! Teens must register for the summer reading program to be entitled to attend any of the programs and win prizes. They are also required to submit at least five book reviews to be entered into the grand prize raffle.

To read more about which prizes we are giving away this summer and to learn about the library bucks program, please visit our teen page on our website.

Registration for the 2012 summer reading program begins on June 28th and there is a kick-off event scheduled that day between noon and 2:30pm at the Tiverton High School Library. Pizza and snacks will be provided, plus a copy of the newest John Green book, "The Fault in Our Stars" to the first attendee.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
