This is a new date for the Walkathon to benefit the new Tiverton Library, sponsored by the Library Friends group, which was rained out previously on June 2.
On Saturday, June 16, beginning at 9 am, you, your family and friends can walk [or sponsor walkers] to benefit the new Tiverton Library. The walk will take place at the Tiverton High School track, 100 North Brayton Rd, which is handicapped accessible and stroller-friendly.
Join the crowd in support of the new library! To pre-register to participate, download and complete the registration form at www.tivertonlibrary.org, or pick up a form at Essex or Union Library during operating hours. Registrations will also be taken at the walkathon, beginning at 8am.
Walkers will be receiving a Walk-a-thon t-shirt as well as be eligible for raffle prizes.

More About Tiverton High School
Tiverton High School currently has 711 students enrolled and 110 credits are required in order to graduate. Students must also carry out 75 hours of community service before graduating.
The school has 11 academic departments, including art, music, family and consumer sciences, technology education and world languages. Classes meet daily, Monday through Friday.
Some extracurricular activities at Tiverton High School include Model UN, Book Club, Academic Decathlon Team, Mock Trial, Year Book, Web Team, Student Council and Ski Club.
Its athletic department has garnered much attention in recent years, with its storied Tigers football team, as well as the boys' basketball team, boys' lacrosse team and boys' and girls' soccer teams.
