On Thursday, March 29, our Newport County Patch editors will join forces to hold our first Patch Academy in the café area of Clements' Market, 2575 East Main Road, Portsmouth, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
We want to show you, our neighbors, how you can best utilize the site for your benefit. We'll teach you how to add events or announcements to the site for all to see; how to upload photos and videos from local events or happenings; and introduce you to Local Voices, a special section where members of the community can write about the topics they care about most.
We also want to tell you more about Patch Places, our local business directory. If you're a small business owner, we'll help you claim your Patch Places listing (it's free!). Doing so will allow you to "own" your page on our site.
Patch Academy is free and open to everyone, so please stop by, talk with us and learn about all of the great ways that Patch can serve you and our community.

Clements' Marketplace is a family run business in Portsmouth that was established in 1980. This large hometown grocer on East Main Rd. has everything from an in-store cafe to a delivery service. Clements' Market stocks a huge variety of grocery, health, beauty and general household products. It also offers catering and flower arrangements.
