Get clear, concise information on how to make food an integral part of a holistic approach to living that will keep you vibrant for many years to come. Join us in learning to do the things that help manage and prevent diabetes as well as its companion conditions high blood pressure and heart disease. With emphasis on healthy eating, the role of activity, and stress management; this interactive program (led by certified health professionals from Saint Anne’s
Hospital) will focus on setting goals, changing behavior and learning from one another, all in a fun and casual environment. These diet/nutrition classes are a part of Amicable Church's seven-week Mind, Body, Spirit 2013 program (visit www.amicablechurch.org for more info) and are facilitated by Rose Couto RN, CDE, CHC, a registered nurse and certified diabetes educator and health coach with Saint Anne’s Hospital as well as in community outreach work, and Laurie Hammontree RD,LDN,CDE, a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator at Saint Anne’s Hospital in the outpatient nutrition clinic and also in the Saint Anne’s Diabetes Education Program.

Registration: The class is free of charge to community members, but participants are encouraged to register in advance by emailing amicablechurch@aol.com or calling the church office at 624-4611.

More About Amicable Congregational Church
Just north of Historic Tiverton Four Corners is Amicable Congregational Church, located on Main Road. It is a member of the Rhode Island Conference of the United Church of Christ.
Sunday services are at 10am. Children are dismissed to their Sunday School classrooms halfway through the worship service, following the children's message.
