from what I read the, gaming commission has pushed back the license deadline to feb. There is aRead Morecont ract with an Indian tribe for a casino in Taunton provided the feds approve the land deal. If they get the deal then they are committed to give the state I think 17% of income. If the state approves another casino in southeastern mass then that 17% goes to zero. If I understand the article that does not change the city of fall rivers vote scheduled for june because that is just for city approval.

Tea Party Shill April 18, 2014 at 04:53 PM
Jim, you are the biggest perpetrator of making stuff up and posting it as fact. Just askRead More"Ric hard". What EXACTLY is an "untruth" Jim and what are my "other" names? Lots of talk, but little substance from you. You worshiped the TCC's leaders (when you weren't denying it existed), did you disapprove of their handling of the Old Ranger School sale? If so, I never heard a peep out of you.

Open space is paid two ways. Private donation and the tax paid by developers. Open space requiresRead Moreno public services and cost the town nothing. Zero gain zero lose. I am a big supporter of less houses more trees.

Open space hurts the tax base. The property value is decreased due to the assignment of theRead Moredevelop ment rights to a non-profit. Once a group like AILT purchases the rights, the property is virtually worthless from a real estate point of view as nothing can be built on the land.

Good morning, everyone! I haven't had a chance to read through all of this yet, but I have received Read Morea few emails that gave me a rundown. :) Bottom line: If anyone is planning a Town Meeting article, that article is up for discussion and criticism. If someone runs a public blog and public news show, that person is conceivably a public figure and should expect some criticism. Can that criticism be more gentle and less attacky? Sure. Should it be? I think at this point on this board, yes, let's keep our criticism on the more civil end of things because we've seen that this board gets out of hand *very quickly.*
Renee Cwiek April 19, 2014 at 01:11 PM
