The 2 pictures seen here are what this fight is about, The old bridge was mainly steel and concrete and very hard to maintain even if it even was, The New bridge is Concrete encased in steel coated with a polymer paint, was easy to maintain and repair, and it is said that for the first 10 years it should need no repairs at all, The new jamestown bridge, which is already paid for, used construction like this., Now the Pell bridge has not been chargeing  the tolls on the schedule that THEY themselves have come up with and have not been making enough money to pay for repairs(but their hiring) WE the Citizens of Newport county are attepting to be made to pay for Mataining 2 old bridge built like our old bridge. Bridges that have always used tolls for repairs while ours was to be maintant thru the gas tax, Anyone can see the different in construction here and To make just Newport County residents pay to maintain 4 bridges is nothing but a taxpayer rippoff of staggering amount . We musy demand that DOT treat us  as part of the whole state, If nessary we must go to court, start recall petition, What ever it takes, I like many , many of you see the bad in this, seems nobody up state can, Are we not part of RI or we the ATM? Go to the Meeting and MAKE them give us More imput and alloow ALL of ours to be HEARD
