What Street in Tiverton-Little Compton Road has the Biggest Speeding Problem?

There are a lot of people who have trouble obeying the speed limit, but which street in Tiverton or Little Compton do you think has the biggest problem with speeding?

It's been an ongoing issue in Tiverton and Little Compton for several years. Drivers speech through town on many streets.

The issue has also been brought up after several fatal crashes on Main Road and other serious collisions on West Main Road.

Many people have trouble obeying the speed limit, but is there one particular area of Portsmouth where people tend to speed most often?

Is there one street in Tiverton or Little Compton where people often drive too fast? Tell us in the comments section below.

Im not directly on it, but I travel it every day. And I have been her for 4 years. My neighbors tell me it was far far worse before the stop sign and the one way at the south end.

It's not just speeding, it's aggressive driving. I can't tell you how many times I've been either followed too closely or even passed on roads like Fish, Bulgarmarsh and Eagleville. Guess 5-10 miles over the limit isn't enough for some people.

Long Highway in Little Compton during the morning commute which coincides with the police department morning shift change. Commuters are accustomed to the absence of enforcement at this time of day and take full advantage. Speeds could easily be clocked around 50 - 60 mph (and probably higher) going through the Peckham Road/Long Highway intersection.

Long Highway, I agree! One of these days the kids waiting for the buses are going to be killed and then, maybe, people will slow down. The people in this town arrogantly believe they are immune to traffic laws. If you dare to drive the speed limit, they tailgate and speed around you. My other pet peeve are the lazy residents who drive on the wrong side of the road to get their mail, disregarding any oncoming traffic. God forbid, they get out of their cars and walk 30 ft. across the road to retrieve it. I cannot believe we don't have more accidents.

South Lake Rd.! Just because it's long and straight and has few houses doesn't mean there aren't people walking their dogs (me!) or riding bikes, etc., etc. I am guilty, as most people are, of speeding on local roads (and my new GPS informs me in red when I am) but am cognizant of what is going on around me and react accordingly. Also, lack of turn signal use makes me insane! Are we supposed to be mind readers?

I think the people not stopping at stop signs are more of a danger. I bet only 1 car in every 10 stop at the stop sign at East rd. and Peckham rd

Lake Rd., but Fish Rd. is pretty bad too. I've had people pass me on it all the time.
