Two Women Charged With Alleged Little Compton House Break

The following arrests were supplied by the Little Compton Police Department. They do not indicate a conviction.

Little Compton police charged two women last week with alleged felony breaking and entering of a home on Crandall Road and stealing several items.

Tarisa Affonso, 20, of Fairfield Ave., Tiverton, and Brea Goyette, 20, of Mystic St., Fall River, MA, were arrested at 12:23 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 18 on Main Road in Tiverton. Both were charged with one felony count of breaking and entering a dwelling without consent, larceny over $500 and conspiracy to commit a felony.

According to Patrolman Patrick Martin, a house break was reported on Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 17 at a Crandall Road residence where several items, including jewelry and electronics, were reported missing. Martin said on the same day, the Westport Police Department reported a house break in their town. A witness in Westport reportedly gave a description of the vehicle connected to the alleged crime, an older four-door sedan, possibly a Buick. That description was put out to surrounding communities.

Martin said on Wednesday, officers on patrol on Main Street in Adamsville saw a vehicle matching the description, but were not sure and continued patrolling the area. Shortly after, the Tiverton police stopped a vehicle on Main Road that matched the description and spoke with the occupants, Affonso and Goyette. Little Compton police were notified. The women were arrested, brought to Little Compton and charged.

Martin added the investigation is still ongoing in Westport.
