Tiverton VFW Holds Memorial Day Flag Ceremony With Scouts

The local Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts helped replace American flags at Pocasset Hill Cemetery.

On Saturday, members of Tiverton VFW Post 5392, assisted by Boy Scout Troop 4218 and Girl Scout Troops 1014, 1076 and 1046, honored local veterans with the placement of new flags in memory of their service to the country.

According to Senior Vice Commander Frank Rosebrock, they placed wreaths and replaced old flag with new flags at the Pocasset Cemetery memorial also be placed wreaths at the memorials around town, such as Grinnell's Beach, the Main Road and Route 24 memorial and Town Hall.

Although it is very nice to see Girl Scouts in the news, I think some one might have got the news a little scrambled. The troop numbers do not exist in Tiverton. Where did the Girl Scouts come from.
