This Weekend: Soup Kitchen, Super Bowl, Auto Show
Here are five things you should know heading into this Super Bowl Weekend in Tiverton and Little Compton.
- It looks like a pretty good weekend, weather-wise. The National Weather Service calls for a mostly sunny forecast with temperature getting up to just above 40 degrees.
- This weekend, Common Fence Music in Portsmouth features the Sweetback Sisters in concert Saturday night. Doors open at 7 pm and the show is at 8 pm.
- Amicable Congregational Church continues a community food drive and hosts a simualted soup kitchen dinner with a homeless awareness sleep-out event on Saturday. Read more about this special event here.
- The Indoor Farmer's Market at Mount Hope Farm in Bristol is in full swing on Saturday morning from 9 am to noon. This weekend Sundial will perform, several vendors will be on hand, and the farm will collect food donations for the East Bay Food Pantry.
- The Northeast International Auto Show has rolled into the RI Convention Center in Providence through Sunday. Sunday is Kids Day - free admission for those under 12, when accompanied by a paying parent.
