We go to Boughs and Berry's. It costs more than a tree from Walmart but the tradition and memories are well worth it.

We got two trees from Maciel's Tree Farm in Little Compton. The price was great, they had a lot to choose from, and we saw at least a dozen that will be ready for next year. Santa was there this Saturday, and for 50 cents, you can get a homemade cookie or a hot chocolate. Coffee is free! Posted a couple of pics when I posted my Patch review.

Clarke's Tree Farm on Main Rd. had some only smaller trees. They did have some nice pre-cut tress, but they were a little more expensive (saw some from $50 - $80).

Manchester's on Main Rd. had some very nice pre-cut trees as well from what I could see driving by the place. Will stop there next week for our wreaths.

Buying a tree from a local farm means you're "BUYING USA"...it seems most of the lot trees are shipped in from Nova Scotia, Canada ... and much as we admire our northern neighbors, let's keep our business local.

PS) I did see one lot (where?) that had banner that said, Made in USA...but thanksgiving week, I traveled to Boston, etc., so not sure where the lot was...

Marge, I believe that sign is at the Moose Cafe on Stafford Road which is selling pre-cut trees for the first time this year.
