Close to a Foot of Snow Dumped in Tiverton and Little Compton
The parking ban in Tiverton has been lifted.
As the weather warms and Tiverton and Little Compton clears out of the first real snowstorm, readers sent in snow counts over the weekend that clearly point out this part of the state received a brunt of the accumulation.
We asked you to send in your snow counts, and here's what readers said on the site and Facebook page. The highest reported total between both towns was 11 inches on Crandall Road, Tiverton and close to a foot of snow on Tower Hill Road, Tiverton.

Tower Hill Road again: Some drifts were nearly 24" around the house, but our driveway averaged about a foot deep. Very fluffy snow, and the snowblower was throwing it easily. It probably would have been only 9" or less if it had been a bit wetter. But it will be a MESS tomorrow if the forecast rain actually hits us.
Meanwhile, stay warm and watch the Pats!!!Deb Plant 11" on Crandall in Tiv. (Monday morning)
On Saturday, Tiverton Department of Public Works Director Steve Berlucchi reported that 20 plows, in the fleet and subcontactors, were out on the roads at 1 p.m. and continued working up to four hours after the snowfall stopped Saturday night. He said sidestreets were dangerous. Little Compton Emergency Management Director Robert Mushen reported no issues on his end.
Also on Monday, Tiverton police announced the lifting of the parking ban.
