Sledders Venture Outside, Conquer Hill At Nonquit School
Several people were found building a ramp and enjoying the snow at the hill at Nonquit School on Wednesday afternoon during a snow day.
Several Tiverton High School students and local families made their way to the hill next to the former Nonquit School on Neck Road on a snowy Wednesday afternoon to find some fun in the big storm.
Keri Pankowski of Tiverton and her family were enjoying the snow. "It's great not to be working," she said.
Students Cammi Martins, Jackie King, Alex Schlatter and a group of friends were padding a ramp on the hill to catch some air off their sleds. All were excited to have the day off to have fun.
The hill at Nonquit School is one of only a few hills available between Tiverton and Little Compton of decent size to go sledding.
If you know of other sledding spots in Tiverton and Little Compton, let us know. Better yet, send us photos of your fun times outside today! Feel free to post them below.

GREAT MEMORIES.....This hill is where we used to play softball and the top hill we called "horse heaven"...WHY, I do not know??? Lots of the hills still look familar to me and the houses along side. I PRAY NO ONE tries to go skating on Nonquit pond. Two of my friends died doing that years ago...just a "warning"... I loved going to school at Nonquit when we had 2 grades in each of the 4 rooms. My name is Helen Branco.... my family lived on East Road and we rode the bus to school each day....THANK YOU FOR THE LOVING MEMORIES YOU BROUGHT TO MIND TODAY....here in Corona, CA.... Blessings and Enjoy :) <3 xo
