Join your neighbors this weekend and help raise funds for Tiverton and Little Compton's food banks.
For the 10th year in a row, Singing Out Against Hunger (SOAH) will hold its annual benefit concert series in Tiverton to raise money to help feed the needy in our community. Since 2002, SOAH has raised over $100,000. The funds raised during the SOAH events go directly to East Bay Community Action (Tiverton Food Pantry) and the Little Compton food bank. In 2010 alone, over 3,966 people visited the food bank just in Tiverton. While hunger is definitely a global issue, SOAH recognizes the need and our ability to help right in our own backyard. Please participate in our fundraising activities while enjoying the music, and bring along some canned goods to help stock the food pantry.
This year SOAH will have three days of events starting Friday Sept. 14 until Sunday Sept. 16. Please visit our website at www.singingoutagainsthunger.org to see the list of performers. Over the course of three days, there will over 30 different performances. Some notable acts are Pumpkin Head Ted, Red Eye Flight, Vaz Vaz, Jose Docen, Andrew Labonte, Chief Noda, 6 Digg It, Daniel Ouellette, Allysen Callery and many many more.
The events will take place at Evelyn’s Drive-In and Coastal Roasters, both in Tiverton.

About Singing Out Against Hunger
Founded in 2002, Singing Out Against Hunger was created to provide nutritious food for our neighbors in need and to raise awareness of their ongoing plight. Since 2003, we have been able to raise $100,000. In cooperation with local merchants, volunteer musicians, and civic-minded people, Singing Out Against Hunger raises thousands of dollars each year through free musical events, raffles, and donations. We believe that self-expression, through music and the arts, a volunteer spirit, and the talents of individuals will help to rid the East Bay communities of hunger. Please visit our website at www.singingoutagainsthunger.org for more information.
