Every weekend Patch will pick one Tiverton or Little Compton business to call for reviews. This weekend we have selected Family Ties on Main Road.

Family Ties Restaurant describes its offerings in their Patch directory listing:
Moulin Rouge Restaraunt serves fine French and American cuisine. Moulin Rouge has more than 30 tables and can seat more than 100 in its four dining rooms, each unique as the restaurant occupies the downstairs of a house. Moulin Rouge has been under its current family ownership since 1975.

Not to be picky, but...
First line says: "Have you been to Moulin Rouge? Review it on Patch."
Second sentence in first paragraph says: "This weekend we have selected Family Ties on Main Road."
Big link says: "Click here to review Moulin Rouge" (goes to Moulin Rouge page)
Next paragraph talks about Family Ties.
Last paragraph talks about Moulin Rouge.
I love the Patch and rely it as a source of local news, but I have noticed a deterioration in the relevance and frequency of stories, as well as the quality of the writing and editing.
We have lowered our standards for journalism far too much. I understand there will be occasional errors, such as typos, missing words, inaccuracies. However, it used to be the exception. Have we all come to expect mediocrity as the norm?
Maybe I'm just having a bad day.

No, Mike, it's not a bad day. I've noticed the same thing and have actually alerted Erin to a series of typos in one of their stories. It's not only annoying but also impacts the credibility of the publication. I hope they get their act together before I figure it's just not worth bothering with.
