Joey Maiato, 18, of Little Compton, recently completed an 18-mile run as part of his training regimen for the upcoming Cox Sports Marathon in Providence on May 6. He has chosen to train for the marathon in order to complete the senior project portion of his graduation requirements from Portsmouth High School. As part of the training, he will be competing in the New Bedford Half Marathon next Sunday, March 18.
