Meet Your Tiverton-Little Compton Patch Editor
There's a new face on Patch starting this week; Erin Tiernan started as the new full-time editor for Tiverton-Little Compton Patch.
To all Tiverton-Little Compton Patch readers,
Your local source for news, events, announcements and conversation has a new full-time editor.
After founding editor Matthew Sanderson transferred to a new local editor post in Pacific Palisades, CA, on June 15, I started dipping my toes into the news, culture, and lifestyle of Tiverton and Little Compton. I look forward to working with all of the readers to continue the tradition of excellence and interactivity in reporting established by Matt since Tiverton-Little Compton Patch went live in November 2010.
Although I have only been on the East Bay scene for about a month, my journey with Patch began more than a year and a half ago in South Kingstown, where I worked under several local editors to gain an understanding of community reporting that I know will aid in a seamless transition as I begin to make new ties in your community.
As a University of Rhode Island graduate, I earned degrees in journalism, public relations and Spanish. I have lived in Newport County for my entire life and contributed to many newspapers and magazines throughout the state, including The Jamestown Press, The North East Independent and South County Living Magazine, among others.
But enough about me. In order to get a real taste of the people and the issues that make up Tiverton and Little Compton, I want to hear from you.
Join me for my office hours tomorrow morning, Wednesday, July 18 from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. at The Black Goose Cafe, located at 2160 Main Road in Tiverton.
Stop by with questions, suggestions, compliments and critiques or just come on over to say Hi!
Whether you're a reader, a blogger, an advertiser or a student, I want to meet you!
I look forward to meeting more of Tiverton-Little Compton Patch’s readers so if you see me walking around town or typing away, please don’t hesitate to say hello, share a news tip or ask a question.
You can also email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call my cell phone at 401-835-4105.
Your New Editor,
