Letter to the Editor: Government Volunteers Needed To Review Tiverton Ordinances
Tiverton resident Joe Sousa will be asking the Tiverton Town Council next month to form a subcommittee to review all of the town's ordinances, in order to find ways to shed some of the town's costs.
To the Editor:
Has anyone ever told you, "You need a permit for that?" You may have scratched your head and asked, "For what?"
I've asked this question many times myself. Next month I will be requesting that the Tiverton Town Council form a committee to review town ordinances. This committee would review ordinances and make recommendations to reduce red tape and workload in our town offices. Those recommendation will be reviewed by the Town Council and state representatives. This will assist the council in making appropriate changes in reducing red tape. They will be requesting changes in state requirements as well. You may have heard the words "unfunded mandates."
I'm hoping that we can reduce the work load for town workers, and make Tiverton a little more business-friendly. If you are interested in helping our council with this overdue review, please contact me at joesousa49@yahoo.com.
Take the time to lend a hand and we will all prosper.

It fell on deaf ears. Businesses are still burdened and leaving town. Taxes go up again this year. Hold on to your hat !

Joe-You have been reported to the editors of Patch for violating the terms of service regarding SPAM/multiple postings. You took the same comment and cut and pasted it word for word on 20 different articles about incoming general assembly members in their respective towns/districts.
Just because the voters of Tiverton were wise enough not to elect you, that does not give you the right to spew your hatred all over the Patch website in every other city and town in the state.
Joe Sousa.

Joe-Could you please educate the readers about your fascination with "Richard"? You repeat the name over and over again, just as you used to do with Paul Doughty.
Maybe it's time you seek some professional help Joe.
