Hit Little Compton Musician To Perform At Sandywoods

Singer/songwriter Joe Doyle, is the man behind the music, churning out hits in Nashville, TN.

The radio plays hits, iTunes plays hits, there are hits streaming on Pandora and Spotify, and even self-proclaimed hits breaking out every day on YouTube.  A hit song is usually associated with the performer who has put it on the charts, but oftentimes there is another creative force behind a song’s popularity.

Rhode Island native Joe Doyle (Riverside and Little Compton) moved to Nashville over 20 years ago, after graduating from Berklee College of Music in Boston. He signed his first publishing deal only a few penniless months after his move to Music City, and during his ten years with BMG Music Publishing, his songs were recorded by the likes of Reba McEntire, Joe Diffie, Dan Seals, Daryle Singletary, Martina McBride, and many others. Doyle penned the #1 single "In Pictures" for Alabama and the top ten single "She Said Yes" for Rhett Akins.  Doyle’s second decade in Nashville has been equally prolific with his songs being covered by Kenny Rogers, Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw, Luke Bryan, Blaine Larsen, and most recently Mallary Hope with her single "Blossom in the Dust" for Universal Records.

Doyle will be performing with the Adamsville/Portsmouth based songwriting duo Johnstone & Walcoff at Sandywoods Center for the Arts in Tiverton, RI on November 10 at 7:00pm
