A high wind advisory is in effect throughout Tiverton and Little Compton today through 3 p.m., according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Downed tree limbs, branches, and isolated power outages could result from sustained winds of 25 mph with gusts exceeding 45 mph. The strongest winds are forcasted to sweep across Rhode Island between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Driving could prove difficult with high winds, especially for high profile vehicles, the NWS warned. As heavy rainfall continues throughout the day, minor flooding could occur in in urban areas with areas with poor drainage.
