Five Things You Need to Know: July 11

Gentle yoga, a stonewall's of New England program, an edible plants nature walk and a comedy show in Newport.

 

Today's Weather: Mostly sunny this Wednesday with highs of 74. Patchy fog settling in at night as temperatures drop to 61 according to the National Weather Service.

1.There will be a gentle yoga program today at the Little Compton Wellness Center at 4:30 p.m. $5.

2. At the LC Community Center will be the free Sogkonate Garden Club's Stonewalls of New England program. Tonight at 7:30 p.m.

3. A special nature walk will be taking place this evening at 6 p.m. at Quicksand Beach. Edible Wild Plants Walk is a chance to not only learn about Rhode Island's ecosystem, but eat it too. Remember to bring your bug spray. Call 401-331-7110 x 33 to sign-up, spaces are limited.

4. For those looking to get out of Town for the night, there will be Improv Comedy in Newport at 8 p.m. $15.

5. Today in History: In 1914, baseball legend Babe Herman Ruth made his professional debut for the Boston Red Sox.
