A Fall River man was charged with felony drug possession after Tiverton Police found several bags of heroine in his wallet.

Tiverton Police arrested a 25-year-old Massachusetts man for possession of heroine after he was stopped for not wearing his seat belt on Stafford Road.

Cristovao Aguiar, 25, of 516 Whipple St. Apt. 3, Fall River, MA, was arrested on Friday, July 6 at 11:31 p.m. and charged with possession of a controlled substance, driving with the presence of alcohol in his vehicle, and driving without a license.

According to reports, police stopped Aguiar on Stafford Road shortly before 11 p.m. because neither him or his passenger were wearing seat belts. Aguiar allegedly admitted he did not have a license and he was placed under arrest. After Aguiar was transported to Tiverton Police headquarters on Industrial Way, police allegedly found several small blue envelopes containing a substance that later tested positive for heroine inside his wallet. He was held overnight and arraigned in Second Division District Court the next morning, where he was released on surety bail.
