Boys Found With Replica Guns Near Pocasset School
The following arrests were supplied by the Tiverton Police Department. They do not indicate a conviction.
charged two 12-year-old Tiverton boys with one count of felony firearms possession Friday afternoon. One was arrested at 5:18 p.m. and the other at 6:39 p.m.
Police received a report that afternoon of a boy walking on Main Road near with a firearm, according to Lt. Patrick Jones. Officers arrived on scene and found three boys in possession of a replica .357 or .44 magnum revolver, which turned out to be an air soft gun owned by one of the boys.
Jones said one of the youths hid the replica in a shrub. Police also recovered a rifle with a scope on it, which was also a replica owned by another youth.

The two who owned the guns were transported back to the police station, released to their parents and the matter was referred to the juvenile hearing board.
