The Sogkonate Garden Club is seeking applicants for a scholarship provided by The Life Member Group of the Rhode Island Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc. An amount of up to $3500. is awarded to a college student majoring in Horticulture, Floriculture, Landscape Design, Conservation, Forestry, Agronomy, City Planning, Environmental Studies, Land Management, Botany, Biology and/or allied subjects. Judging is based on academic record, applicant’s letter, honors/extra-curricular activities/work experience, financial need and recommendations.
Applicants must be legal residents of Rhode Island, although they do not need to attend college in RI. The State Awards Chairman must receive applications by March 1st.
