Tiverton Harbor Patrol Presents Live Marine Flare Testing Night
The Tiverton Harbor Patrol, along with the Tiverton Fire Department, presents live marine flare testing night from 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday, June 9 on the north side of Fogland Beach. It's open to all mariners.
Have you ever wondered what to do with your expired flares? Have you ever wondered what you would do if you had to use your aerial or hand held flares? Now we have the answer. Bring expired flares by shore or by boat and have a qualified member of the Harbor Patrol or the Fire Department show you the proper way to use your flares and use them safely. It’s also a chance to dispose of your expired flares. If you don’t have expired flares purchase one handheld and/or one aerial flare to bring to this event. To participate, please contact the Tiverton Harbor Patrol so that time can be scheduled with you or your vessel.
Call the Harbormaster (Dave) at 401-625-1916, leave a message and we will usually get back to you in the evening, or email harbormaster@tiverton.ri.gov
