The following is a press release from the East Bay Community Action Program:

A free Family Resource Fair will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2012 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Pocasset School, 242 Main Road, Tiverton. The fair will provide resource information for children, adults and families of all ages.

The goal of the fair is to promote healthy communities by sharing information about resources available to Tiverton residents and the event is tied to statewide child abuse prevention and mental health awareness efforts. There will be provider resource booths; family activities including a DJ, stress management/yoga activity and a presentation on Mandated Reporting Laws. Refreshments will be available and each booth will sponsor an activity.

Activities and organizations that will be participating include: the Women’s Resource Center of Newport and Bristol Counties; East Bay Community Action Program; Newport County YMCA; Looking Upwards; Maher Center; Little Compton Wellness Center; Tiverton Library; Autism Project of RI; St. Anne’s Hospital; Prevent Child Abuse RI; Parenting Partners; Visiting Nurse Service of Newport and Bristol Counties; Child & Family, Newport County Community Mental Health Center; the Tiverton Prevention Coalition and BankNewport.  

East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP), as a partner in the Family Care Community Partnership (FCCP) with Child & Family, Newport County Community Mental Health Center and the East Bay Center, through a grant from the RI Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) is sponsoring this fair.
