Newport, RI – Citizens Bank colleagues and other community volunteers recently gave out backpacks filled with new school supplies to local students at CCRI’s Newport campus. CCRI was one of 11 locations throughout the state where families could pick up a new backpack before the start of the school year. These Back to School Celebrations were in partnership with Citizens’ Gear for Grades Program, Coast to Coast Promotional Products, and 92 PRO-FM. As part of the Gear for Grades program, new school supplies were collected at Citizens Bank branches across Rhode Island, helping to relieve the burden of back-to-school shopping for local parents. Back to School of Rhode Island, with the support of Citizens Bank, provided backpacks to 14,000 students throughout Rhode Island this year.
