Could you publish the following press release.  It can go in the "Announcements" page, and also in any section where Volunteers are highlighted. We would appreciate it if you could place it three times between now and the start of the training on September 13th.
We have one site in Tiverton at the Tiverton Senior Center, and service Little Compton there as well.
When the classes start, we will be sending notes for the calendar.

FREE TRAINING FOR VOLUNTEER TAX COUNSELORS

Newport County, Rhode Island.  The Rhode Island AARP Tax-Aide program is scheduling training for new and returning volunteers.   Training will be conducted at the Middletown Library on Thursdays from September 13th to November 8th, from 1-5-PM. This comprehensive 9-week course is designed to train volunteers to become certified to prepare most types of personal tax returns.  Preregistration is required due to limited class size.  Please contact Bob Lobecker at Robert.Lobecker@verizon.net, or Thurston Gray tgraysr@aol.com for registration and additional information.

Tax-Aide is the nation’s largest free, volunteer-run tax assistance and preparation service.  Volunteers provide one-on-one assistance and preparation of income tax returns.  The service is offered to low and middle income taxpayers of all ages, with special attention to those 60 and older.  Last year, more than 6500 Rhode Island families were helped by Tax-Aide volunteers, with over 1500 at twelve sites across Newport County.  Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds are welcome; you do not need to be an AARP member or be retired to volunteer.
